The X.Org Foundation has released a new version of its X.Org server, bringing many news fixes and changes to the table. According to the official release note published on Sep 21 02:21:08 PDT 2014, a single fix has been implemented in xorg-server 1.16.1 in order to to address an issue when building Xwayland from the tarball.
A crash regression in mieqProcessDeviceEvent has been fixed, non-PCI devices are now allowed as primary, turning off “Displays have separate Spaces” on OS X Mavericks is now easier thanks to better support, temp picture coordinates in glamor_composite_clipped_region have been fixed and the xserver does not crash anymore when systemd-logind integration is used.
This version of the xorg-server does not contain any new feature, but just a various of bug-fixes. So, if you want some amazing new features and improvements you should wait for X.Org Server 1.17 which is planned to be released in early 2015.
